Broker Profile
James J. Johnston places a premium on his quality of service and relationship building. Brokering is a match-making business, and Jim loves to bring people together. He believes that in addition to the price and terms of a deal, a successful transaction finishes with the parties trusting each other and transferring the business’s goodwill into the future. All transactions have delicate moments, and Jim’s varied professional background enables him to work with diverse cliental and bridge gaps between people in order to get transactions closed. Prior to working at Business Acquisitions Ltd, he taught English, math and other subjects around America and overseas.
He has also developed a passion for artisanal cheese as a professional cheese maker for a Colorado company. Jim graduated from Kenyon College (Gambier, Ohio) and Kent Denver School and has completed graduate coursework at the University of Denver.
He is a passionate member of Rotary International through the Denver Rotary Club, and he is an active squash player at the Denver Athletic Club. He serves on the board of The Gift of Giving, a non-profit organization that enables people to better give gifts that truly make a difference. He has completed two marathons and is a member of the Denver Botanic Gardens with his wife, Pam, who runs a landscape design practice.
