The company’s founder, who had been a truck driver, saw a need for a truck oil change business in northwestern Arkansas, and so he started one in June 1999. Truckers from throughout the nation stop by the facility when in the area to have their oil changed in 30 minutes or less, far faster than the shop’s local competitor. Truckers find out about the shop from friends. The shop doesn’t need to advertise. About 80 percent of the customers repeatedly use its services because of the business’ low prices, quick oil changes, and good customer service. The shop is run with a “mom and pop” attitude in that customer service is the business’ highest priority. Two of the employees have been with the business since it opened and are capable of running it well when the owner isn’t around.
