The seller established this location in 2006 and has achieved the "Shining Star" classification, an honor only 5 out of the 57 other Curves franchises within a 30 radius have been awarded.
The seller, who is a full time high school teacher, does not have the time and necessary dedication to devote to this Curves in order for it to achieve its maximum potential. This Curves is ideally located in an affluent area of western Wayne County with high household incomes. An aggressive, full-time owner-operator is necessary for this Curves to achieve its true potential. The monthly sales for 2008 verses 2007 have increased 14% despite a lack of aggressive management. The Curves clients pay a one-time sign up fee of $149 (or less depending on the current promotion) plus a monthly fee of $35 which is electronically debited (EFT) from the client's checking account or charged to the client's credit card. Currently there are 180 active members (as of May, 2008), 90% of whom are on the EFT system. The rest pay annually or on a month-to-month basis. The ongoing royalties are $395 per month.
