Superior sells hardwood, softwood and exotics to go out the door as is or we offer custom milling to the customer's specifications. We ship materials state wide and have customers all over Alaska. We have recently re-insulated the main building and added a new shop/office area.

Property Features and Assets:
Superior Hardwoods is located on the northern edge of the city. We have a 5,000 s.f. manufacturing/retail building along with a 3,200 s.f. cold storage building. A beautiful display area/office was recently added on to the main building, along with recent insulation upgrades. The shop consists of: a 4 headed moulder, 36" double drum sander, 24" planer, straight-line rip, chop saw, table saw, bandsaw, knife cutting machine, 1 8" jointer, 1 16" jointer, forklift and many small hand tools. A Chevrolet Colorado 2005 and 2008 Honda Fit are also included.
Market Competition and Expansion:
Superior Hardwoods is located on the same edge of town as 2 large home improvement box stores and there is a Spenard's in Fairbanks also. Because we are such a specialty retailer we are actually enhanced by their presence and often get customers referred by them for custom millwork and lumber. The large military presence is also a good customer base, as are the gold mines and oil businesses.
