Market Competition and Expansion:
Location is the biggest advantage this operation has over the other two stations in the area they sit right in the middle of town, rather than on the outskirts, still on the main drag through the city. An opportunity that can be considered a strength is to contract with a brand for fuel. They have been approached by a few brands wanting to invest dollars into the station to upgrade it, in exchange for a fuel agreement. So far they have chosen to remain independent, but have considered this option. As mentioned, signing on with a fuel brand has some positives that can include upgrades to the facility and brand name recognition. Additionally, the owners have considered expanding the store to increase retail space and variety of products, as well as adding more prepared food, such as a cold deli.
