Business for Sale Overview:
This business is located in a town of 1500 people in the Nebraska panhandle. It has virtually no local competition within 35 miles. The 10,000 sq. ft. building is full of all types of merchandise including appliances, furniture, hardware, toys, gifts, greeting cards, clothing etc. Over the years the owners have learned what sells well and that is what they carry. They do very little advertising because everyone in area knows the store. The owner’s father started the business in 1934. It has evolved over the years to accommodate the changing needs of the community. About 80% of sales are to repeat customers. PRESS RELEASE: Colorado Ag Services Announces Plans To Construct Bridgeport Ethanol Plant
Sterling Ethanol and Colorado Agricultural Services announced Friday plans to construct a forty to fifty million gallon ethanol plant on forty acres on the east edge of Bridgeport. Board President and General Manager Dave Kramer says the company plans to have the facility operational by the summer of 2008 Kramer says the project has been in development for a year and they have already taken steps, including applying for state air permit and a building contract, so construction can begin this summer. The company has already built a similar plant in Sterling, Colorado and has a plant that will open soon in Yuma, Colorado. Kramer says Northeastern Colorado and western Nebraska feedlots and farmers are investors in the project. The plant will employ 32 people, will use seventeen to eighteen million bushels of corn annually from western Nebraska and return daily a thousand tons of distiller grain that can be used for cattle feed in the area.
