Board President and General Manager Dave Kramer says the company plans to have the facility operational by the summer of 2008 Kramer says the project has been in development for a year and they have already taken steps, including applying for state air permit and a building contract, so construction can begin this summer. The company has already built a similar plant in Sterling, Colorado and has a plant that will open soon in Yuma, Colorado. Kramer says Northeastern Colorado and western Nebraska feedlots and farmers are investors in the project. The plant will employ 32 people, will use seventeen to eighteen million bushels of corn annually from western Nebraska and return daily a thousand tons of distiller grain that can be used for cattle feed in the area. © KNEB Scottsbluff
