This company is well known in the utility and power generation industries. They offer/bid a price to remove piping and metals in various plants that are to be torn down or refurbished. Most jobs take 3 to 4 months to complete and may be anywhere in the USA. The company owns the metals it removes from the plants and sells it as scrap. Prices of metals have increased tremendously the last several years and are likely to be very high for many years to come. The company owns some proprietary equipment that allows them to extract most metals much faster than anyone else could. They are also servicing an industry that most demolition or salvage companies have no interest in. Thus, there is usually little or no competition. For the customer, it is new found money as they are paid a fixed price for the job up front. Most of the time the customer has no idea how much salvage value there is and just want the materials removed. Sales and cash flow have doubled each of the last couple of years. In 2006 sales were $10M with almost $2M in Cash Flow. The owner already knows which jobs he will have completed in 2007 which should generate about $20M and almost $4M in cash flow. The Seller wants to retire. There is no formal asking price, but he would like to see a deal in the 4 to 5 times average earnings over the last couple of years. He has already prepared for another growth spurt in 2008 in preparing a new demolition team and equipment package. He may also entertain some seller financing and/or earn-out on a buyer for buyer basis. A buyer will need to be prepared to do some traveling. Interested Buyers may visit the site the company is currently doing a job at to better understand the operations.

Property Features and Assets:

This business is relocatable. The owner uses his own over sized garage to inventory parts used in his business. He sells all extracted metals from the plant sites and does not inventory any metals. A small area may be needed for a few portable pieces of equipment, but they are usually on job sites.
