Business for Sale Overview:

The Company manufactures and distributes a full line of fresh pork sausage products. Most items are marketed under the Company’s brand name. Product offering includes all types of uncooked sausage products including Italian, breakfast and seasonal flavors that are sold in many variations of seasonings (hot, sweet, etc.) and presentation (patty, link, thin, thick, etc.). This business delivers an attractive and predictable stream of sales and profits. During the latest fiscal year ended June 2007 sales were $7.7 Million with corresponding adjusted earnings of about $1.35 million after accounting for all costs required to operate the business, including a $200,000 management salary. This is just over the performance in fiscal 2006 and close to the five year sales average of $7.5 Million. This business has exceptionally clean, well-documented records and financial statements that will be made available to qualified prospective acquirers. The customer base is primarily comprised of HRI food distributors and route jobbers. A small amount of sales are to small retailers and a smaller portion to restaurants. Less than 5% of sales are “direct”. There is no customer concentration and the largest client accounts for less than 5% of revenue. Geographically the firm sells from Buffalo, NY to Miami, Fl., with a concentration (75%) in the New York Metro market. There is minimal geographical constraint on sales given the availability of refrigerated LTL transporters. 80% of current sales are delivered in company owned and branded trucks. The Owner desires to divest the business in order to focus on unrelated business and personal interests. He feels that the likely strategic fit is with another pork sausage producer or a complimenting firm with a smoked, processed, pre-cooked or other meat offering.
