It’s initial success was founded by providing gaming tournaments for “aficionados” based in the South West many of whom would travel considerable distances to take part in these competitions. This led to the business acquiring the leasehold premises it has traded from ever since.
The facilities offer at least eighty different games on twenty-nine gaming stations in three separate rooms. Users pay an annual membership fee plus an hourly charge to use the computers. The bar provides a limited range of alcoholic drinks and a small selection of snacks to the active database of around two thousand registered gamers of which circa three hundred are regular visitors. The studio acts as a social center for many of its members and often plays host to birthday parties. On average they host between three and six parties every week end. There is a small workshop where computer repairs take place.
