Products are sold to the beer brewing industry in the U.S. The company is comprised of approximately 768 adjacent acres: 245 acres is owned corporately, 250 acres is leased from the shareholders, and the remaining 273 acres is leased from third parties. Facilities include hop drying and baling facilities (approximately 1.5-million-pound capacity), cold storage, and two homes, including a luxury four-bedroom home.
Due to its strong reputation and excellent customer relationships, the company has benefited from strong sales growth in recent years. Between 2006 and 2008, sales nearly quadrupled at a CAGR of 90.2 percent from $1.08 million in 2006 to $3.92 million in 2008. In 2009, management anticipates further growth with sales reaching $5.6 million, an increase of 42.9 percent with hop production of 1,010,000 pounds. Profitability, as measured by EBITDA, increased from $100,303 (9.3 percent margin) in 2006 to $2.27 million (57.9 percent margin) in 2008. Fiscal 2009 EBITDA is forecast to reach $3.66 million (65.3 percent margin).
