This meat processing and packaging company has been established for over 40 years and has been owned by the current owner about 8 years. Included in the asking price of $2.5M is the real estate and 35,000 Sq. Ft. plant (no current appraisal). Sales in 2008 were $5.38M with $554k in cash flow. Sales in 2007 were $5.2M and $4.9M in 2006. Sales and cash flow in 2009 are expected to increase despite the ill shaped economy. A nice new school account has been added in 2009 and many of this companies products are consumed by economy shoppers. The company makes hot dogs, bacon, sausage and previously did hams. The largest customer in 2008 represented 50% of the sales but is a well known company they continue to do business with. The second largest customer was 9% of sales with about 15 others making up the balance. There are tenative plans to build a company store. Most of the 25 production workers earn $7 to $11 per hour. The owner lives 4 hours away and owns/manages a much larger company. This is the reason for sale as he spends too much time on his smaller operation located far away. This is a good business as it is hard to find a manufacturer that had sales and profits in 2008 exceed 2007 and expect 2009 to exceed 2008.
