Founded over 20 years ago PUC makes custom uniforms for a wide variety of over 400 clients including government agencies, restaurants, security services, casinos, grocery chains, parking valets, and corporate clients.
The Custom Uniform manufacturing industry is MUCH more stable than the fashion industry. Uniform designs do not frequently change styles, orders are mostly repeat due to employee turnover and normal wear and tear. Orders are typically short run and needed quickly so offshore orders are not an option.
PUC does not do any manufacturing; they subcontract all segments of making a uniform to local suppliers who do all cutting, sewing, embroidery and bagging/tagging. PUC operates as a highly effective proactive sales team that daily generates orders from existing customers (90%) and new accounts (10%).
