The buyer will need to obtain the Private Patrol Officer (PPO) license (which is reported to not be difficult to obtain, and the firm’s General Manager and at least 1 supervisor are qualified for) to carry on 95% of the business, as well as the Private Investigator (PI) license if they seek to continue in investigation work (which represents $250,000 in 2010 revenues that would be unlikely to continue without the Seller’s involvement). The PPO license requires 2,000 hours of experience as a law enforcement officer or work completed under such supervision.
