Owner Bruce Violette has developed a national rewards program for loyal customers called "Yacht Credits" where clients earn points towards a pleasure cruise on the Ultra Violet - Bruce's 43-foot Silverton Motor Yacht who home is in the Three Rivers area in Pittsburgh, PA.
Business Partner, a brand in a family of brands called FranchisEsource Brands International, is a franchise marketing/coaching services firm with currently 11 franchises serving the marketing communication needs of businesses. Bruce Violette, a longtime sailing aficionado and licensed U.S. Coast Guard Ships Captain founded The 3 Rivers Yacht Charter as a second business in 2006, renting his yacht for business or personal entertainment such as meetings, weddings, etc. Now that his second business is up and running, it became natural to connect his two seemingly unrelated companies.
"As a way to acknowledge our customers loyalty and promote our Charter business, all Business Partner clients receive 5% of their purchases as credit toward a yacht cruise," says Bruce. "For example, if a client spends $2,000, they automatically get $100 off the cost of a cruise. There are a lot of possibilities here - employee incentives or rewards, building business relationships, corporate parties, and so on," he added.
While the concept is still relatively new, Violette says the response so far has been favorable. "It seems like people have really taken to the idea," he says. "The majority of our clients think it's a really great, creative incentive."
Once the momentum for the idea takes off, Violette thinks adding a second yacht is a definite possibility. "We're also looking into establishing a winter Charter in South Florida," he says. "This would be a great way to combine my two loves, reward my clients for their loyalty and continue to help them with their business goals at the same time."
