Broker Profile

Calder Associates’ Susan Rosner oversees all of the firm’s Pennsylvania operations and manages intermediaries throughout the region. A Certified Business Intermediary (CBI) herself, she acts as the primary broker for a variety of clients. Her unique strengths as a strategic thinker and business leader coupled with her expertise in mergers and acquisitions of mid-market privately held businesses, as well as corporate operations make her in high demand by business owners and corporate executives who want experienced and high quality professionals to assist them in their sale or acquisition process. Crediting her success in closing deals to her broad-based business experience and her straightforward, collaborative and results-oriented approach, she has completed transactions ranging in value from $1M to $35M in construction, retail, distribution, manufacturing and service sectors. Susan exhibits a passion for business and entrepreneurship. Owning her first business at age 19 set her off to build a career helping small divisions in large Fortune 500 companies grow. She held executive level positions at Xerox, Times Mirror, USA Networks and the American Management Association. Her demonstrated success in building entrepreneurial teams, implementing transformational change, and achieving breakthrough results led to improvements in quality, innovation, sales growth and operational efficiencies. In her executive roles, Susan was involved in mergers and acquisitions where she developed an expertise in financial and human assets due diligence, as well as transition and change management. In 2002, Susan founded Rosner Resource Group, a strategic planning firm specializing in mergers and acquisitions. Her practice grew quickly due to her commitment and ability to “go beyond the deal,” assisting business owners and buyers in achieving their goals. In 2007, Rosner Resource Group merged with Calder Associates, forming a leading mergers and acquisitions firm with regional presence and international reach. The business community has recognized Susan at both the local and national level for her expertise and leadership. The United States Chamber of Commerce invited her to serve as Executive Coach to the CEOs of the top 100 business associations in the country. She has also been invited to chair selected Executive Think Tanks in the Philadelphia region by an international association dedicated to supporting CEOs and business executives. Susan is a member of IBBA (International Business Brokers Association) and is the past President of the Mid-Atlantic Business Broker’s Association, a regional affiliate of IBBA. She is also involved with Calder’s Board of Directors. Actively participating with the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce, Susan sits on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors and on the Board of Advisors for the organization’s Leadership Bucks County Program. She has also served as Chairperson of the Strategic Planning Committee for the Chamber and is the new Chairperson of the Board for 2012-2013.
