Market Competition and Expansion:

Due to the nature of the smaller community the store is located in, they do not face direct competition from head to head competitors or big bog stores like Home Depot and Lowes. It is estimated that the nearest competing store is nearly an hour away, while the closest big box competitors are estimated to be nearly 100 miles away. New operators may wish to develop the land, which is zoned commercial in front and residential in the rear. Since the business is somewhat seasonal with the Canadian and other snowbirds visiting during the winter months, the current owners have explored constructing an RV (recreational vehicle – motor home) park, or constructing a retail strip mall. They could also convert their office / retail space or residential properties to service oriented or retail operations, but have held off on this to allow a buyer to seize these opportunities as they see fit.
