Advanced Business Brokers, Inc. specializes in the sale of small to midsize companies that include manufacturing, distribution, service, and retail businesses.
We help business owners by:
1. Determining the marketability of the business and determining its market value.
2. Prepare a detailed marketing package that includes a description of the business, a financial spreadsheet reflecting normalized income and expenses, and a list of the tangible and intangible assets to be included.
3. Implement a marketing program designed to maximize the number of buyer prospects through utilization of our database of qualified buyers, our referral network of accountants, attorneys, past clients, our website, and other national “business for sale” websites.
4. Obtain confidentiality agreement from all Buyer Prospects prior to their receiving any significant information about your business. Once specific buyers are identified and qualified, our staff schedules and coordinates all meetings between you, the buyer, and the professional advisors.
5. Obtain an earnest money contract or Letter of Intent and coordinate the buyer's due diligence process to closing. In many cases, we help the buyer find sources of financing.
We help individuals, investment groups, and private equity groups find profitable businesses to buy by maintaining a large inventory of businesses for sale. We assist the buyer through their due diligence process, and we often help buyers find sources of financing.

Jeffrey D. Jones, ASA, CBA, CBI.
Jeff is President of Advanced Business Brokers. Since 1976, he has been involved in appraising and selling small to midsize businesses, including manufacturing, distribution, retail, and service companies. He and his staff have sold over 1,000 businesses in Texas and the Southwest United States. Jeff holds a masters degree in business from Pepperdine University and is licensed by the Texas Real Estate Commission and the Texas Securities Commission.
As President of Certified Appraisers, Inc., he manages the firm's multidicipline appraisal practice, including the valuation of businesses, machinery and equipment, and real estate. He frequently testifies in depositions and courts of law as an expert witness on valuation issues. His clients include closely held companies, publicly-held companies, the IRS and other governmental agencies.
As a member of SCORE, the U. S. Small Business Administration's business consulting group, Jeff serves as an instructor and counselor for entrepreneurs starting new businesses, or helping existing business owners improve their profitability.

Jeff is the co-editor of the Handbook of Business Valuation and Mergers and Acquisitions Handbook for Small and Midsize Companies published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
He has written many articles on valuation and merger & acquisition issues, and is a featured speaker at many professional associations.
