Behind The Auto Repair Boss is a full-service team led by nationally recognized business broker Jim Parker. Our leadership is deeply involved in the industry, including serving as the 2026 Elected Chair of the International Business Brokers Association and past board member of both the IBBA and the Business Brokers of Florida.
Jim Parker is one of the nation’s most experienced and respected business brokers specializing in the sale of top-performing auto repair businesses. With nearly 25 years in the industry and over 500 successful business sales to his name, Jim has earned a reputation for delivering results and doing so with integrity, insight, and a client-first approach.
Though Jim began his career as a generalist broker, selling everything from manufacturing companies to restaurants, he found his true calling in the auto repair industry. He developed a strong connection with the business model, the service-driven nature of the work, and the entrepreneurial spirit of the shop owners he represents. Many of his clients started as technicians turning wrenches and grew their shops into thriving operations. Representing these hardworking owners and helping them capitalize on their success is what drives Jim. For him, this work is far more than a transaction, it’s about creating meaningful, win-win outcomes.
Jim is a nationally recognized speaker on the topic of selling businesses, having presented to audiences of nearly 1,000 people and spoken at industry associations across the country. He’s known as a thought leader and trusted educator in the field of business brokerage, often sought out for his deep expertise and practical guidance.
Along with earning his Bachelor of Science in Communications at Clarion University, Jim is among the less than 20 people in the world to have all four of the following designations:
