Broker Profile

After 21 years in senior management with FASTSIGNS International, Inc., including nearly four years as its president, Larry Lane initially opened his VR Business Brokers office in McKinney, TX, in 2009. After 6 years in McKinney, the office was relocated to the North Dallas area in 2015. While at FASTSIGNS, Larry helped build the international sign and graphics franchisor’s network of 500+ centers. He joined the company in 1988, working directly with franchisees to help ensure their success. From 1989 through 2005, Larry held various management positions, including Director of Operations, Vice President of International Development, Vice President of Franchise Development, and Senior Vice President of Franchise Relations and Development. In January 2006, he became the company’s president and held that position until he opened the VR office in McKinney in October 2009. During his tenure with FASTSIGNS, Larry helped people through all phases of their business life – purchasing the franchise, successfully managing the business, and then helping the franchisee exit the business at the right time to maximize their investment. While at FASTSIGNS, Larry was also exposed to the world of private equity, having experienced firsthand the purchase of FASTSIGNS International, Inc. by two different private equity firms over 10 years. Larry is a member of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA), a board member of the Texas Association of Business Brokers (TABB), the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA), and the McKinney Chamber of Commerce.
