The Clinic Director and Owner of the practice oversees a growing team of 14, including an office manager and 12 staff psychologists and clinicians, who are 1099 independent contractors. The Clinicians all sign a subcontractor agreement specifying their commitment to the practice, including the commission structure (70% of hours billed), non-competition covenants, and more.

One side of the practice focuses on marriage therapy and psychological testing through a self-pay model, while the other side provides a wide range of general therapy services. The company offers options for either remote sessions via tele-health tools or onsite visits from their 3,377-square-foot, 3-suite office space. The business accepts health insurance and self-pay for all its services.

In 2024, the medical practice served over 9000 appointments. The number of appointments in 2024 was down slightly from 9,305 appointments in 2023. This reduced number was primarily due to a decrease of 1.5 clinicians on staff. However, 2023 saw an increase of 571 appointments from 2022’s total of 8,744 completed appointments. This demonstrates that, with a full staff of clinicians, the clinic continues to grow. The clinic plans to add its 13th clinician in June 2025 and another member in the second half of 2025. As of May 31st, 2025, the office is ahead of 2024 with completed and booked appointments, totaling over 8,500.

Most clients visit their clinicians on a weekly basis (approx. 90% or more) and sometimes bi-weekly with a high degree of loyalty – 99% see their therapist more than once.

A significant growth area for the new owner to capitalize on is marketing. The business does not currently conduct extensive marketing. The practice has never conducted an active SEO/SEM campaign or invested in any social media. The majority of their patients are referred or find the practice via word of mouth or on Google. Areas of growth could include strategic partnerships, digital marketing, and more extensive data capture from both social media and the website.

Additionally, the new buyer could very easily expand operations by adding virtual-only clinicians and/or by securing one of the other suites currently available in the building and adding additional clinicians. The buyer could also conduct employer and educational marketing to grow the psychological testing and evaluation services, boost referrals, and secure corporate and community accounts.
