Property Features and Assets:

Retail store on the corner of a strip center. REtail store with collectible cases plus rows of table for gaming. Jamey"s Clubhouse our original store was established 1985. In 1992 we opened a store in Cathedral City, CA. Clubhouse Sportscards was opened in 1996 in Indio, CA and then became JB Sports in 2009 relocating to La Quinta, CA and then to our current location in 2012. Jamey"s Clubhouse was closed in 2017, as my wife retired.

Market Competition and Expansion:

Collectibles have declined over the past several years but are considered by many to be on the upswing. Many stores have closed to focus on the internet opportunities. This trend also leaves shops like this one to be the only go to in the area to share the passion of collecting. Having a bricks and mortar store also allows for a source of supply with collectors coming to the store to sell collections. Inventory of collectibles can also increase in value over time versus non-collectible stores. Playing in tournaments like Magic the Gathering remains a sought out activity for aficionados. This store is the only place within a couple of hour drive offering or authorized for Magic the Gathering tournaments. Wizards of the Coast claims that over 35,000,000 people play Magic the Gathering games. Potential Growth: Since I am retiring, I have lessened the hours of the store. Opening more days and extending the hours would greatly increase income. Holding more tournaments can be lucrative and increase traffic to the store. Adding an online sales presence for the store allows expansion of the buyer base beyond the local community. Considering that the inventory is included in this sale, margins will increase due to low or no cost of of goods until the inventory is depleted.
