This music store has been a fixture in the San Diego county music scene for over 43 years, having been founded by its current owner in Leucadia Ca. in 1979. It is the oldest guitar shop in San Diego county continuously owned and managed by the same family. This business has been featured in many print articles including the San Diego Union, North County Times, Guitar Player magazine, The Reader, Circus magazine, and the Wayne Charvel book, “The Custom Guitar Shop & Wayne Charvel: What’s in a Name?” by Frank W/M Green. In 2016 the store was included in the Academy Award winning director of “20 Feet From Stardom” Morgan Neville’s film “The Music of Strangers”. The shop is a long time member of the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM). Guitars are their specialty but they are a full service music store with sales & accessories for many different instruments.
With over 300 guitars in stock, this shop has one the largest inventories in North County. From your basic 6 string acoustic guitar to Floyd Rose equipped hot-rod shred machines, and everything in-between. They carry a very diverse selection of guitars and other popular string instruments including banjos, mandolins, violins, ukuleles, etc. Along with new instruments, they also feature a large selection of pre-owned and vintage guitars.
