Business Overview:
Established FTL Carrier – Atlanta Metro This is an opportunity to acquire a well-run full-truckload carrier with strong, steady growth. Invoiced revenue has more than doubled, from $4.2M in 2023 to over $8.4M in 2026 year-to-date, on roughly 5,700 loads so far this year. The company runs 45 trucks: 37 owner-operators under lease plus 8 company-driven units. That asset-light model keeps capital needs low while still giving the buyer a fleet of its own. Included in the sale are 7 tractors and 12 53' dry van trailers. Freight comes from long-standing relationships with top national brokers, including C.H. Robinson, Total Quality Logistics and Coyote, and is supplemented by load-board sourcing. Carrier pay is processed in-house and invoices are factored, which keeps cash flow predictable. The business runs on proven systems: a TMS for dispatch and invoicing, a team of 5 experienced contract dispatchers, and 2 office staff handling billing and communications. The owner is willing to help with the transition. Ideal for an existing carrier looking to add capacity, or for an operator who wants a turnkey platform with room to grow. Equipment list and financials are available after you sign an NDA.

Market Competition and Expansion:
Industry. U.S. full-truckload trucking is a large, highly fragmented market. Most carriers run fewer than 10 trucks, and they compete mainly on reliability, capacity and service rather than on brand. With 45 trucks, the company sits in a competitive middle tier: big enough for major brokers to rely on, and small enough to move quickly for spot freight.
Market conditions. After a long freight downturn, the truckload market tightened sharply in 2026. C.H. Robinson's October 2026 report forecasts spot rates up about 30% for the year and another 10% in 2027. It also notes that route-guide failures, meaning loads that contracted carriers turn down, remain well above prior years. Stricter federal enforcement on CDLs and English-language proficiency is expected to shrink the driver pool further. That favors established, compliant carriers with a stable driver base.
Competitive advantages:
Asset-light model. 37 of the 45 trucks are leased owner-operators, so the company can add capacity without large capital investment.
Diversified freight. More than 700 broker customers in 2026, and none accounts for more than 12% of revenue.
Experienced dispatch. A 5-person dispatch team sources loads across all major load boards and broker platforms, keeping trucks moving.
Strategic location. The Atlanta metro sits on I-75, I-85 and I-20, at the center of Southeast freight flows.
Scalable back office. A TMS, in-house driver settlements and factoring support growth without proportional overhead.
15-year operating history under its own authority.
1. Add contract freight and direct shippers. Today most revenue comes from spot freight across more than 700 brokers. Signing dedicated lanes or working directly with shippers would raise rates, keep trucks more fully loaded and make revenue more predictable.
2. Launch a freight brokerage division. The dispatch team already finds and books thousands of loads a year. With a broker authority, the company could earn a margin on loads it can't cover with its own trucks instead of turning them down.
3. Recruit more owner-operators. The model has already grown from about 2,900 loads to more than 5,600 loads in under two years without a large capital outlay. Back-office staff and dispatch can support more trucks with only modest added overhead.
4. Sell services to owner-operators. Fuel card programs, insurance, maintenance partnerships and trailer rentals can each bring in more revenue per truck and help keep drivers from leaving.
5. Refresh the company fleet. Most company tractors are 2017–2018 models. Newer units would cut maintenance downtime and fuel costs, and they help recruit company drivers.
6. Expand into new equipment types. Adding reefer or flatbed would open new freight markets and higher-paying lanes using the existing broker network and dispatch setup.
