2nd Time Sports is a community based used and new sporting goods store with in-store and online sales giving us a nationwide playing field. Being a proud member of the local community, we support our local teams, leagues, athletes and individuals by providing them with quality used and new sports gear and fitness equipment. We also have in-store services such as bike repair, golf club re-gripping, bat re-gripping, skate sharpening, ski waxing, custom uniforms and more. Not only does our online store and service centers make us stand apart from any competition, but we also have a proprietary cleaning and sanitizing system that removes the odors and grime from the previous owner making it much healthier and enjoyable to buy used equipment, again putting us far above customer’s expectations. We are experts in making loyal, returning customers with strong word of mouth growth.

Our point of sale system links our inventory to our online store making selling in-store and online seamless, headache free and fast! Some highlights of our point of sale software include customer database, text messaging promotion programs, “wanted items” text messages for customers looking for items not yet in store, inventory management, business reports and more. Our franchisees enjoy system support 7 days a week!
We want our franchisees to win. Our best franchisee candidate not only has a love of sports but a strong aptitude for the game of business. We offer training and support. Training begins at our headquarters and model store, and ends on your turf in your own store.

New Sports Gear is Expensive!
Used sporting goods retail stores benefit from a large market of thrifty shoppers looking to save on athletic equipment. It makes sense, when you do the math. Youth sports equipment costs an arm and a leg, and before you turn around, they’ve already grown and need bigger gear. It’s enough to truly tax a parents wallet or, even worse, dissuade them from enrolling their children in sports programs altogether.

According to Ohio University, between bats, gloves, shoes, and protective gear, parents are very likely to spend well over $1,000 to outfit a child to play on a baseball team. Add in the fact that a child likely will need to have their equipment replaced as they grow and advance in their sport, and parents can end up paying out $30,000 or more in equipment for one child to play a sport between ages 8 and 18.
