About Simply Slices
In 1972, Hubie Mango opened a small pizzeria in Crestwood, IL: thus a legendary south side pizza was born. While attending DePaul University, Dino fell in love with the business. After graduation in 1984, with the investment of a professor, Dino & Debbie Pavoni purchased Mango's Pizza.  Expansion into Orland Park, IL in 1988 proved the demand for this product was high. While in Orland, Dino had a vision to someday build free-standing drive thru units that focused on high quality pizza at a fast speed, which would make drive-thru pizza by the slice a possibility.

In 1998, Simply Slices became a reality. From 2000 to 2008, the Pavoni's went north to Six Flags Great America. They honed their craft of providing the best quality pizza at a demandingly high rate of speed. Simply Slices huge success at a major theme park only fueled the desire to make our drive thru concept a first rate operation.

Q: How do I go about obtaining a Simply Slices franchise?

Q: How long does the application process take from beginning to end?
A: Upon completion of the personal interview, Simply Slices will make a decision within 3-4 weeks regarding your approval status..

Q: Do I need restaurant experience?
A: Previous restaurant experience is almost essential to succeeding within our system. If you love to serve people, have a true desire to provide the best product, and understand the idea that business is built "one customer at a time," then you have come to the right place. Experience, however, is secondary to passion, enthusiasm, and energy.

Q: How much can I expect to pay in franchise fees and royalties?
A: Our franchise fee is $25,000. Our royalty fee is 6%. This includes the right to use Simply Slices name, trademarks, recipes, and systems. This also includes a hands on support system that will integrate our successful models into your operation. There will also be a 2% marketing fund contribution that wil support our local and national marketing programs.

Q: How much will the initial start up cost be?
A: The answer to this question will vary depending on the unit that you will be opening. With that in mind, our start up costs range from $167,750 to $399,000.

Q: Will Simply Slices assist me with financing a store?
A: Simply Slices franchisees are required to have their own financial systems in place to build and operate their stores. However, we can provide a list of lenders who have expressed interest in lending to franchisees.

Q: How much money can I expect to make?
A: For U.S. and International Opportunities: Simply Slices does not make earnings claims regarding any of our locations. The amount of money individual locations can expect to make will vary depending on a multitude of factors, including the locations and demographics, operating costs, sales, and the overall ability of the franchisee to operate and manage their franchise location(s).
