3 Reasons to Open a PostNet Franchise

Please click here for more information on PostNet

The leading printing, marketing and shipping franchise is rapidly expanding as it continues to evolve to meet today’s demands
The PostNet franchise is entering a bright new era under new leadership, which will help grow our iconic brand by hundreds of locations in the coming years. Earlier this year, PostNet became a part of the MBE Worldwide family, which owns the Mail Boxes Etc. brand and business concept for the entire world except US and Canada. For PostNet, this new ownership is significant, as there will be a continued commitment to innovate and evolve the proven PostNet business model alongside new technologies and consumer needs.

“This move marks the beginning of a new chapter at PostNet,” says Brian Spindel, President and COO of PostNet. “Our acquisition by MBE Worldwide results in a new partnership with many opportunities to work closely with similarly-experienced colleagues to identify ways to accelerate growth and increase unit-level economics. Being part of a new global family furthers our mission to support entrepreneurs and small businesses everywhere.”

Here are three great reasons why now is the best time to invest in the PostNet franchise:

PostNet’s commitment to new technologies gives franchisees access to multiple revenue streams
Since our founding in 1993, PostNet has helped hundreds of entrepreneurs realize their dreams of small business ownership. Recently, PostNet has made significant investments in new technology to both expand our menu of services, as well as to provide our franchisees with additional revenue streams.

Last year, PostNet expanded on our proven brick and retail model to include a digital platform called the Online Print Center. This is significant because it allows for customers to request a quote or order print products online. The user-friendly platform gives customers 24/7 access to the same high-quality products and services they have come to expect from visiting PostNet’s centers in person, making managing their print projects even more convenient.

Earlier this year, PostNet became the first national franchise to offer virtual mailbox solutions to businesses and consumers. By partnering with the leading virtual mailbox companies in the industry, Anytime Mailbox and iPostal1, PostNet customers* can view and manage their physical mail or packages from their mobile device or computer – anytime, anywhere. Users receive a notification when their mail arrives, along with a picture of the outside of their mail or package. With a simple click, customers can request to have their mail or packages forwarded, scanned, recycled or shredded.

“One of the core reasons why PostNet has been so successful through the decades is that we continue to keep our finger on the pulse of the latest technology advancements to ensure that we are catering to the evolving needs of today’s consumer and business professional,” Brian says. “We’re extremely pleased that we can provide our franchisees with the tools, resources and partnerships needed to stay competitive in their local marketplace.”

PostNet is a brand that shares your values
PostNet stands out as a special brand because we have a culture that celebrates “Caring for the Whole,” the idea that every franchisee isn’t in business alone. Instead, PostNet franchisees actively help each other, visit with each other and get on the phone to discuss best practices.

While there are numerous examples of our franchisees going above and beyond for each other, Pier and Polly McBride, owners of a PostNet franchise in Sunnyvale, CA, devote so much of their free time supporting their peers. When they go on vacations, they make it a point to drop in to their fellow franchisees’ centers and catch up, talk shop and hang out. Pier and Polly also host a few parties every year where they invite nearby PostNet owners and their employees for an evening of fun and socializing.

“We got support when we started, so it’s our responsibility to give back,” Pier says. “Polly and I enjoy helping – she was a principal [before PostNet] so she is a natural teacher, and throughout my career, I’ve always tried to be a mentor to my employees. It’s part of our nature, but also it’s fun – when you help somebody it’s a good feeling, and that alone is a reason to do it. We did not know that our names were going to be called at the Thrive franchise conference for the Chairman’s Award, and we were honored to be recognized by other franchisees and the executive team for the energy that we give. It was a very a special night.”

PostNet is rapidly expanding across the nation
With nearly 250 locations open or in development across the nation, PostNet is actively seeking savvy entrepreneurs to join us as we expand from coast to coast. Recently, we have announced several new openings, including new PostNet franchise centers in California, Mississippi, Texas and Virginia.

PostNet is a low-cost investment opportunity with a proven business model that offers high potential returns. The total investment necessary to begin operating a PostNet franchise ranges from $169,767 to $212,275. PostNet is a substantially more affordable investment than several of our competitors, and our rapid buildout time allows our franchise owners to potentially hasten their return on investment. Once a site is selected, a new PostNet can be open in six to eight weeks.
