1855 Ham’s Station was first established as Fosters trading Post. The building was constructed in 1862 when the area was known as Spring Valley. The building and the 640-acre homestead was eventually purchased by, A.C Ham. It was operated by Louis Pasquetti, and was a weigh station for the Amador/Nevada wagon route. It became old CA-8 and finally State Route 88. Ham’s Station has continuously served travelers and pioneers along this historic route.
