The company has an excellent reputation with many awards, including an A-rating on Angie’s List, a 5-star rating on Google & the Better Business Bureau. The company is committed to excellence & uses only the highest quality windows & never had a complaint. The company works with quick-response manufacturers (mfrs) & crews that are committed to performance. The competition is comprised of low-end franchises that sell cheap windows at low-ball prices and the high-quality companies who have very high prices. This company has a nice niche right in the middle. Sources of new business comes from 75% advertising & 25% word-of-mouth. Google & Angie’s List advertising creates the most revenue. The sale process starts with a signed contract, a work order is generated & is sent to the head of the installation crew. The crew takes exact measurements at the home & then sent to the mfr of the brand selected by the customer. The mfr sends back the factory work order for confirming all details. When approved, the manufacturer commences production, taking approximately 3-5 weeks. When completed, the mfr delivers to customer's home. The crew leader sets up an installation date with the customer. Payments made are 40% credit cards & 60% cash. The pricing structure begins at the base price for each window, which is set by the mfr(s). A variety of factors influence price, such as labor costs, what the home is made of (brick, stucco, siding), the size of the windows & wind-storm zones. Then add 35-55% for profit.
