Our schools offer large classroom sizes filled with an abundance of natural, recycled and man-made materials ready for the students to explore and experience. Each KLA Schools location also offers an Atelier (art studio). The Atelier is an artistic space (in addition to the mini atelier found in every classroom) that offers children a place to come in small groups to explore various creative and open-ended materials. The Atelier provides an artistic extension of the learning experiences that are going on in the classroom.

Our nature-based playgrounds provide an additional environment for exploration. Our outdoor environment allows students to develop their gross motor skills, socialize and play creatively with their classmates. Many of our outdoor playgrounds also have a gardening space for children to learn and interact with nature. Some of our locations offer indoor playgrounds which gives children the space for artistic exploration with music, lights and shadows.

Each of our schools has a Professional Development room which provides the teachers with an area to work on items associated with the school's educational approach and the learning of the children in each of the classrooms (Daily Journals, Weekly Projections, Documentation, Assessments, etc.). This space also allows teachers to collaborate and learn from one another.
