Humble Beginnings
Founded in 2014, Windows Direct USA is very excited about showing you, how we have become homeowners #1 window and door solution. When I first started this business I thought I had everything figured out. I planned this business with a detailed business plan based on over 15 years of industry experience.  

You see I’ve been doing this my whole life. I started doing labor for my Dads’ Home Improvement Company when I was just 14 years old. After college I took a sales job at a very large window company. Quickly I excelled being named salesman of the month 9-10 times a year over a 6 year period and being in the top 5% nationwide. I thought to myself, I can do this on my own and got started on creating the Windows Direct USA brand. 

I took the leap of faith, 3 days before I married my wife and I quit my job. I was a newlywed and business owner at the same time. My wife supported me 100% in the decision to build a better life for us. I mean what could go wrong, I had window installation experience, window sales experience and a marketing degree. I can do this! 

I quickly realized this was not going to be easy. That business plan was based on theory and my experience as a salesman. Not a business owner. The first year was tough. In 12 full months I managed to only turn a $6800 profit. I was desperate, broke and hungry, literally. My hunger for success never wained, through a lot of trial and error, almost going out of business several times, barely having enough money to pay my bills, I finally had a breakthrough. I realized I didn’t need to go through this journey alone. There are plenty of successful business owners in my space and I just needed to find one to help me. Just give me a little guidance. I found a mentor that showed me how they ran their business. He had made his millions and now wanted to give back to me the same way that someone once did for him.  

See, I knew windows, I knew marketing, I didn’t know business. When I decided I didn’t want to be self employed but I wanted to be a business owner, Windows Direct USA took off. We raised our prices by hundreds of dollars overnight, brought in the very best window on the market & perfected our entire system from sales, marketing, operations, installations, and even how we answered the phones. We were not only closing more jobs but making more in profit on a job than some of our competitors charge. The work is still not done, successful business ownership is always evolving due to market demands, competition, employment environments, government regulations and even financial markets.   

Now it’s my time to give back and share this amazing system with Windows Direct USA Franchise Owners. There is no doubt in my mind we will be the premier window company in the nation one franchise at a time.
