That’s not to say that the White Shovel concept is new. In fact, it has its roots in the early 2000’s when we started a lawn mowing company. We found that clients kept asking us to “move this shrub over here, over there” and would often seek our opinion on landscape projects. 

We wondered why they were asking the guy who mows their lawn these questions – after all, weren’t there landscape designers and architects out there? Why ask their “lawn guy?” And then we realized it was because professional landscape designers were expensive.

Thus White Shovel was born. White Shovel is the gap between lawn guy and highly expensive landscape architect and installation. 

For the past ten years we have been developing a clean landscape design and installation system, that is all managed by customized software that ties it all together like a well oiled machine. The White Shovel business model has proven to be a great success, with locations throughout Alabama and North Carolina. 

Now we’re ready to take the White Shovel system beyond our home areas by opening it up to potential franchisees.
